This Florida law criminalizes people who cross the state line into Florida with people they know, or “reasonably should know,” are undocumented. It invalidates other states’ driver’s licenses issued to people navigating our complex immigration system, requires hospitals to ask about immigration status, and forces companies with more than 25 employees to use E-Verify. This law also bars DACA recipients from practicing law and requires collecting DNA samples from detained immigrants.
