FLORIDA — Florida For All, a coalition of grassroots racial and economic justice organizations, is organizing early voting events across Florida this weekend in the leadup to the critical midterm elections on November 8.
Who: Florida For All’s grassroots coalition of organizations including: Service Employees International Union Florida, Florida Rising, FLIC Votes, and Dream Defenders.
What: Voter turnout events in Orange, Seminole, Pinellas, and Duval counties.
When/Where: Saturday, October 29th, at various times and locations:
- Orange County - Trunk & Treat the Vote!, October 29th from 11am-3pm, 4286 Columbia Street, Orlando (parking lot)
- Seminole County - Multicultural Concert, October 29th from 2pm-6pm, Crooms Academy, 2200 Historic Goldsboro Blvd, Sanford 32771
- Pinellas County - Roll & Stroll to the Polls!, 10am-3:30pm, 1700 49th Street South, Gulfport, FL 33707
- Duval County - Wing it to the Polls!, 11am-3pm, 5208 North Pearl Street, Jacksonville, 32208
Background: Florida For All is supporting candidates who will best represent and serve the priorities of everyday Floridians and working families concerned about access to affordable housing, health care and childcare; quality public education; the freedom to vote and reproductive freedoms; fair immigration policies; protecting Florida’s environment; quality jobs and economic security; and the overall freedom to build a safe, secure and better life for themselves, their families and loved ones.
